Rihanna and Lewis Hamilton have sparked dating rumours yet again. And the F1 racer's ex-girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger is apparently hurt with this brewing romance. If the latest rumours are to be believed, the former Pussycat Doll could now be dating Ed Sheeran.
After having fun at the Kadooment Day Parade with Lewis in Barbados on 3 August, Riri was again spotted hanging out with the racer on a yacht in the Caribbean. This came as a shock to Scherzinger, reported Independent (via Star).
"This is yet more news that has hurt Nicole. They were together for so long that she finds it hard to hear about Lewis' other high-profile romances, and he sounds pretty smitten with Rihanna. It's especially tough because Nic wants to find someone special to settle with, and this is all a painful reminder that Lewis wouldn't commit to her," a source said.
But now it looks Nicole might have found that special someone. According to The Sun, the Pussycat Doll and Ed Sheeran have been on a series of dates and have become really close in recent months. Their friends are speculating a secret romance brewing here, the report said.
"As far as he's concerned they were in the early stages of dating and he's been open about it with close friends and colleagues. It may not develop beyond those dates but they're definitely tight," Ed's pal told The Sun.
"They're extremely close. Nicole says he is the male version of her," Nicole's friend added.
Apparently, the former X-Factor judge reached out to Ed after confessing that his songs helped her get over the split from Hamilton. They two reportedly met in London, after which the self-confessed geeky singer took the Pussycat Doll for a date to his hometown in Suffolk.
"She was drawn to him over the last few months through his music. When she split from Lewis, she was heartbroken but ended up playing Ed's songs on a loop," Nicole's friend told The Sun.
The two singers have reportedly been spending a lot of time together. If Ed invited Nicole as one of his special backstage guests when he performed at Wembley Stadium, Scherzinger posted pictures of the two of them together on Instagram and dedicated a performance of her hit song "Don't Cha To Her Love Interest", saying: "This is for you, Ed." Not just this, the two have also been pictured drinking in The Station Hotel.
The report also pointed out that the two happened to connect at a time when both were coping with a break-up. Ed became single about the same time as Nicole when he split from Athina Andrelos.
Well, if these reports are to be believed, then it looks like Rihanna-Lewis Hamilton dating rumours could have made way for Nicole Scherzinger-Ed Sheeran romance.
