For a while now, rumors swirling around have been hinting at NeNe Leakes' exit from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," owing to a number of reasons including a pay cut and low ratings.

It did not help matters that Leakes later tweeted about not continuing a job if ones heart is not in it.

But a few days back, she attempted to set the record straight tweeting, "I'am NOT comin back 2 RHOA because I was fired, NO I quit, NO I wanted more money, NO they cut my salary & yes all this is BULLS**T."

However, the tweet had an opposite effect on some of her fans, who failed to understand that Leakes was disregarding the rumors surrounding her return to the show.

Although the 46-year-old was soon bombarded with questions about her future on the show, Leakes did not specifically come out and say that she will be a part of season seven.

In May, multiple reports stated that Leakes' return to the show is uncertain as she demanded more money from Bravo. However, she reportedly had to take a pay cut as the scenes featuring the star with her husband did not do well.

"NeNe balked at the idea of going part-time and said she would quit first. If she wants the same pay, Bravo will require that she shoot more with the other ladies," a source told RumorFix.

Leakes is one of the original casts of Real Housewives of Atlanta, and she has been a part of the show for all six seasons. But, there have been reports of Leakes acting like a diva, which has reportedly not gone down well with Bravo.

"Nene thinks she's a bigger star now, due to a recurring role on Glee and the now-canceled sitcom The New Normal. She also says her appearance on The Celebrity Apprentice makes her more bankable," a source said, according to Showbiz Spy.

"Her ego is out of control, but she's wrong if she thinks Bravo will give her more money," the source continued. "She feels she's done a lot for Bravo... She is betting the network does not want to lose her. But NeNe is playing Russian roulette... Producers aren't sure she's worth it anymore."

Season seven of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is slated to return in November.
