Rhea Chakraborty reveals two women who stood by her post Sushant Singh Rajput's death

Rhea Chakraborty went through a lot post Sushant Singh Rajput's death. From being accused of abetting his murder to allegations of being involved in a drug case, the actress underwent a nationwide witch hunt. Rhea faced slander and a media trial and had no support from people in the industry. Except for Shibani and Anusha Dandekar and their families.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Chapter 2 with Rhea Chakraborty, the 'Roadies' gang leader has said that it was because of Anusha and Shibani that she could come through that period. She added how she survived the storm because of them but couldn't even take their name due to the backlash they could face.

Surviving the storm

"At that time, it was not cool to announce that these are the people who were supporting me. Today, I am sitting at a place where I want to say that I survived the storm. People keep telling me you are strong but I only survived this because of certain people in my life," Rhea said.

Who stood by Rhea

"And that is so freeing for me to be able to say that out loud. This was my crew. These were the people who supported me and it is not going to create backlash for you guys," she added. Rhea further said that even her dad says that more than a temple, they should have pictures of the women who stood by Chakraborty during the difficult phase, on the wall of their home.

"The year 2020 was a difficult time of my life. As my dad says, if it weren't for these women, we would have never survived. Now we don't need a temple in the house, we need a picture of these women," she mentioned.

Anusha, however, said in the interview that it is unfair for everyone to think that she has to portray a strong exterior all the time. "I wish for your Chapter 2 to be the best chapter of your life. I want the world for you... It is unfair to think that you have to be strong and brave all the time," the VJ concluded.
