The results for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)-University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) exam that was held in December were declared Tuesday.

The results are available on the CBSE website. The candidates can enter their roll number and date of birth to access their result.

The exam is held twice a year, the last of which in 2015 was held Dec. 27. The application process for the July exam has begun. Candidates can register on the CBSE website. Last day for applying online is May 12.

The CBSE-UGC exam to check eligibility of candidates for the position of assistant professor and junior research fellowship positions in Indian universities and colleges will be conducted July 10.

Candidates attempt three papers during the exam. In the first paper, 50 questions out of 60 have to be attempted. In the second paper, all 50 questions are compulsory and in the last one, all 75 are compulsory. The first two papers are of 100 marks while the last one is of 150 marks.
