Shimla, Dec 14 (ANI): Residents and tourists in Himachal Pradesh welcomed the fresh spell of snowfall with much delight on Sunday (December 14). Heavy snowfall was seen in the hill towns of Manali and Shimla which are popular tourist destinations for Indians and foreigners alike. A resident of Shimla, Gulzar Ahmed, who works as a porter, welcomed snowfall as it will bring business to the city. Tourists were seen enjoying the snowfall and throwing snowballs on each other. A tourist from Punjab, Dimple Goyal, said the place looks heaven due to white sheet of snow everywhere. Located in the tropics, most of the northern India witnesses very hot summers and largely temperate winters. Minimum temperatures even dropped to sub-zero level in higher altitudes in Jammu and Kashmir.
