Manchar, Aug 01 (ANI): Even as the rescue operations continued after a landslide devastated a village in Maharashtra, the injured persons were being taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Many of the injured have been admitted to a hospital in Manchar town which is located about 52 kilometres away from the tragic site. The confirmed death toll was 35 from Wednesday's landslide on a hill above Malin village in Maharashtra. Rescuers waded waist-deep through swirling sludge to dig their way into dozens of submerged homes and find more than 100 people swallowed up by a landslide that flattened almost an entire village. Only a handful of residents escaped as the hill came down.
