After the superhit Malayalam movie, "Ohm Shanthi Oshaana," with Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim, filmmaker Jude Anthany Joseph had announced Feb. 7 his second project "Oru Muthassi Gadha." 

Recently, there were reports stating that popular Malayalam actress Namitha Pramod would be seen in a pivotal role in the upcoming family entertainer in the role of a 18-year-old college girl, named Alice. However, director Jude has now confirmed to International Business Times India that the reports on Namitha's association with his movie are not true. The actress is currently working for her debut Telugu project "Chuttalabbayi‬" opposite actor Aadi.

The makers of "Oru Muthassi Gadha" have already announced a casting call for two actresses for the movie, opposite Vineeth Sreenivasan and Rajeev Pillai. They are looking for actresses aged between 17 and 20 and have asked the aspirants to send their photos to email id omgsilma@gmail.com with the subject line 'Heroine.' The team is also looking for boys and girls aged between seven and nine to be part of the movie (mail the photos to omgsilma@gmail.com with the subject line 'Kunji'.

The makers were also looking for a Christian ancestral home near a lake or river, and Jude has confirmed to IBTimes India that they have found the right house for the shooting. The team is currently busy with the pre-production works of the movie that is expected to repeat the success of Jude's debut directorial venture "Ohm Shanthi Oshaana."

Jude had earlier revealed that fresh old faces will be seen in the main roles in "Oru Muthassi Gadha" and the movie's promising first look poster features a grandmother with a mace (gada weapon).

"Ohm Shanthi Oshaana" team Shaan Rahman, Lijo Paul, Vinod Illampally, Sameera Saneesh, Shinto Irinjalakuda and Ronex Xavier will be working again with Jude in "Oru Muthassi Gadha," which will be produced under the banner of E4 Entertainment by Mukesh R Mehta. The team's previous movie won many accolades, including Kerala State Film Award for best popular film, best film with popular appeal and aesthetic value, best actress and best editor, among many others.
