A report in Rushlane said that the new generation Duster is now available with for ₹7.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), down from ₹8.3 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Although the reason for latest price cut is not clear, the price cut suggests subdued demand.

Duster, a model which redefined the SUV for the Indian market is undoubtedly one of the best selling models of the company since its entry in to the market. However, in recent times, arrival of new entrants such as Ford EcoSport and Nissan Terrano has dented demand for Duster in the sub-continent.

Launched in March, the new generation Duster has additional features such as arm rest, the gear shift indicator and new multi information display with service reminders.

It also features the segment's first ECO mode feature, cruise control & speed limiter, new steering column, new instrument cluster and a speed sensitive door lock safety. The cabin also has a refreshing look with a soft touch dashboard and new fabric upholstery.

Under the hood, the Duster gets three engines– a 1.6-litre petrol motor which can churn out 103bhp, and two 1.5-litre diesel mills, tuned to generate 85 bhp and 108.5 bhp. The diesel engines of the new Duster delivers a  fuel efficiency of 19.87 km/l and 19.64 km/l respectively.
