With Reliance Jio SIM cards facing increased demand and leading to frustration among buyers, a majority of whom have still not been able to procure a Jio 4G SIM, the Mukesh Ambani-owned company is now rumoured to begin home-delivering Jio SIM cards. This new system is said to ensure that those booking their SIM cards receive it within 7 working days.

As per a TelecomTalk report, Reliance Jio would come out with a new online system of booking Jio SIM cards to be delivered to home. TelecomTalk quotes Reliance Jio employees and states that such an online system has already been tested and this would be rolled out initially to metropolitan cities followed by a launch in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

To reserve Reliance Jio SIM cards, potential customers can check out this online portal (after its public launch) and provide basic information such as identification details along with proofs for the same and then register to have the 4G SIM-cards delivered to home. The cards would then reach home within 5-7 business days.

At this point in time, the only method of procuring a Reliance Jio 4G SIM card is by standing in long queues to visit a Reliance Digital Store/Reliance Xpress outlet along with selected mini centres and producing identification documents only to have the executive say that newer SIM cards will be available only at a later time. This process, in turn, requires frequent follow-ups with the concerned folks.

Reliance Jio 4G after-effect: Vodafone India offering extra 4G data with 1GB data pack

Vodafone India has now stated that it has begun offering an additional 9GB free 4G data for customers availing its 1GB data plan that is priced at Rs 251. This offer can be availed by new 4G smartphone users choosing Vodafone as their preferred network service provider, instead of Reliance Jio.
