Reema was best known for the motherly characters she had played in several Bollywood movies. She had played on-screen mother for stars like Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Shah Rukh Khan among others. Some of her note-worthy movies include Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Vastav, Maine Pyar Kiya, Kal Ho Na Ho, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Hum Saath Saath Hain.

Not just in Bollywood, she was much popular in the TV industry as well. She had featured in TV shows like Tu Tu Main Main, Shriman Shrimati, and several others. Reema was part of the ongoing TV show Naamkaran.
Her sudden death has come as a shocker for the industry. Several celebrities, both from Bollywood and TV, visited Reema's residence to pay their last tribute to the actress. Celebs like Aamir Khan, his wife Kiran Rao, Mahesh Bhatt, Mahesh Manjrekar, Rishi Kapoor, Kajol and others visited the departed soul's house.
Meanwhile, several other stars took to Twitter and mourned the demise of Reema - Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Boman Irani, Farah Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz.
