Xiaomi India on Tuesday launched the REDMI Note 15 5G smartphone and the REDMI Pad 2 Pro tablet in India, expanding its mid-range smartphone and productivity tablet portfolio.

The company said the two devices are aimed at users looking for a combination of performance, battery life, and multimedia features at competitive prices.

REDMI Note 15 5G: Key features

The REDMI Note 15 5G comes with a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display (converted from 17.2 cm) with a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 3200 nits, and support for the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The display carries TÜV certifications for eye protection.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It runs Android 15 with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 on top, and Xiaomi has committed to four years of Android updates and six years of security patches.

For photography, the device features a 108MP primary rear camera with OIS, based on Samsung's ISOCELL HM9 sensor, along with AI-assisted imaging features such as Dynamic Shots and portrait modes. On the front, there is a 20MP selfie camera with automatic field-of-view adjustment.

The phone packs a 5520mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 45W fast charging and 18W wired reverse charging.

In terms of durability, Xiaomi says the phone has reinforced internals, SGS-tested durability based on MIL-STD-810H methods, an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, and support for Hydro Touch 2.0, which keeps the display responsive even when wet.

The REDMI Note 15 5G is available in Black, Glacier Blue, and Mist Purple colour options, in two variants: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB

It is priced starting at Ra 22,999, with up to Rs 3,000 in bank discounts. The first sale begins on January 9, 2026 at 12 PM via mi.com, Amazon India, and authorised retail partners.

REDMI Pad 2 Pro: Key features

The REDMI Pad 2 Pro features a 12.1-inch (30.73 cm) 2.5K display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 120Hz AdaptiveSync, Dolby Vision support, and TÜV-certified eye protection with DC dimming.

The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform and runs Xiaomi HyperOS 2. Xiaomi has promised five years of Android updates and seven years of security updates.

It houses a 12000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging.

Audio is handled by a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos. The tablet supports up to 2TB of expandable storage via microSD.

The REDMI Pad 2 Pro is available in Silver and Graphite Grey colour options in the following versions:

Wi-Fi model (8GB + 128GB) — starting at Rs 24,999

5G model (8GB + 128GB / 8GB + 256GB) — starting at Rs 27,999

The Wi-Fi variant goes on sale from January 12, 2026 at 12 PM on Amazon India, mi.com and authorised retailers, while the 5G variant will be available from the same date on Flipkart, mi.com, and offline stores. Bank offers of up to Ra 2,000 apply.

Pricing and availability 

REDMI Note 15 starts at Rs 22,999 with the device going on sale on Jan 9.

As for REDMI Pad 2 Pro (Wi-Fi), it is priced at Rs 24,999 while the 5G variant costs Rs 27,999. The tablet's sale commences Jan 12.
