Real Madrid start their preseason campaign for the season 2016-17 on Wednesday as they get set to take on Paris St-Germain in what will be a mouthwatering fixture. The teams had met last in the UEFA Champions League 2015-16 group stage.

While Real went on to lift the Champions League crown, PSG were knocked out in the quarterfinals of the competition by Manchester City.

Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will not be seen in action in the game as he is set to miss the start of the season for the Los Blancos owing to the injury he suffered in the Euro 2016 final against France. Having said that, the top stars including Karim Benzema, Alvaro Morata, Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric could be set for action for Zinedine Zidane's side against PSG.

The French outfit, meanwhile, having lost Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United earlier this summer, will be counting on Edinson Cavani to provide the much-needed boost to the attacking front for Unai Emery's side.

Ivorian defender Serge Aurier scored a brace while Layvin Kurzawa scored from a freekick to give PSG a 3-1 win over Italian giants Inter Milan in their first International Champions Cup 2016 match on Sunday.

Expected starting XI:

Real Madrid - Casilla; Coentrao, Nacho, Marcelo, Danilo; Kovacic, Modric, Isco, Asensio; Jese, Benzema.
