Just hours after the new iPhones officially went on sale in India, major telecom player, RCom (Reliance Communications) has released the subsidised tariff plans for the new Apple smartphones.
According to RCom's discount plan, premium iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C's base model can be purchased with no initial down payment at all. In order to avail this offer, buyers are obliged to sign a two-year contract with fixed monthly bill.
RCom has reportedly tied up with credit card companies and banks such as ICICI and Citibank to scrutinize iPhone buyers' verification in a bid to discourage contract-dishonour by them.
