The Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday hiked its repo rate by 0.25 percent to 7.75 percent. This is the second time the central bank raised its interest rates in the past two months.

The bank held back on the Cash Reserve Ratio and lowered Marginal Standing Facility rate by 25 bps.

RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan withdrew some recent measures that were put in place to help the falling rupee.
