Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are reportedly set to share screen space in a film for the first time. It has been reported that Zoya Akhtar has roped in Ranveer and Alia for her next movie.
Ranveer and Alia were earlier seen together in some TV advertisements, but the duo has never worked together in a film. Their pairing in the ads were much liked and since then fans were eagerly waiting to see them in a film.
The wait apparently is over as Zoya has finalised the energetic duo for her upcoming movie, according to Filmfare. The report also said that Ranveer and the Dear Zindagi actress will be seen as two rappers from the slums of Mumbai. The film titled Gully Boy will reportedly go on floors in 2017.
However, there is another report that said that Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara Ali Khan will be making her debut opposite Ranveer in the film. Inspired by a real-life story of two rappers from Mumbai, Gully Boy will feature Ranveer and Sara together, according to Mumbai Mirror.
Fans will have to wait for an official confirmation to know whether Alia features opposite Ranveer or Sara makes her debut in the film.
Alia will soon be seen on the big screen as Gauri Shinde's film Dear Zindagi is set to released on November 18. The film also features Shah Rukh Khan along with Aditya Roy Kapur, Angad Bedi, Kunal Kapoor and Ali Zafar.
On the other side, Ranveer is busy with the promotions of Yash Raj Films' Befikre. The film features Vaani Kapoor in female lead and is much talked about for the sensuality portrayed in the trailer.
Ranveer has been in news for another much awaited project titled Padmavati. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati features Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor as well. After the success of Bajirao Mastani, fans have very high expectation with Padmavati.
Alia will also reunite with Varun Dhawan with the movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The duo's pairing was immensely liked in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and now fans are waiting for the sequel.
