The trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus period drama "Bajirao Mastani" was released on Friday evening in Mumbai.
And as usual, the latest Bhansali's film "Bajirao Mastani" displays rich cinematography and brilliant performances. The trailer shows Bajirao's struggle with his relationships in the backdrop of a war.
The film tells the story of a noted general Peshwa Baji Rao I and his second wife Mastani. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone play the titular role of Bajirao and Mastani, while Priyanka Chopra plays the role of Bajirao's first wife Kashibai.
The three-minute-45-second trailer left Bollywood celebrities spellbound. From Vishal Dadlani to Nikkhil Advani, several celebrities took to Twitter to praise the trailer of "Bajirao Mastani".
"Go Goa Gone" director Krishna DK compared the trailer of "Bajirao Mastani" to "Baahubali" and said that it is looking better than the latter.
Directed by Bhansali, the film also features Tanvi Azmi as Bajirao's mother, Vaibbhav Tatwawdi and Mahesh Manjrekar among others. The period drama will be released in theatres worldwide on 18 December.
