Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Shilpa Shetty attend RSS centenary celebration; Mohan Bhagwat praises Salman Khan

As the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) celebrated its historic centenary, the event is part of the two-day lecture series themed 100 Years of Sangh Journey: New Horizons, held on February 7 and 8, 2026, at the Nehru Centre Auditorium.

Who's who attended the 100th RSS centenary. The RSS Centenary Year celebrations are being marked with a series of events across the country, highlighting the organization's ideology, social initiatives, and role in nation-building.

Celebs like Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal, Ananya Panday, filmmakers Mohit Suri, Subhash Ghai, Nitesh Tiwari, Om Raut, Mahaveer Jain, Vikram Malhotra, lyricist Prasoon Joshi and others were present. Several photos and videos from the event have gone viral on social media.

A viral clip shows Salman Khan listening attentively to the speakers on stage, while Ranbir Kapoor is seated in the front row. Another video from outside the auditorium showed Ranbir Kapoor warmly greeting and hugging filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari.

The second day of the event took place on Sunday, February 8, with several more prominent personalities attending.

Vicky Kaushal, sporting his Love and War look, flaunted a moustache and opted for a traditional outfit. He turned heads in a dark brown shirt paired with a lighter brown Nehru jacket and crisp white pants, and was also seen interacting with the media.

Filmmaker Karan Johar and actress Ananya Panday made a stylish entrance together. Karan opted for a classic white kurta-pyjama paired with a grey Nehru jacket, while Ananya stunned in a white and maroon Anarkali suit.

Shilpa Shetty wore an orange suit set and was seen posing with Seema Singh.

Akshay Kumar, looking dapper as ever, was seen stepping out of his car and greeting attendees. He wore a grey suit with matching pants, keeping his look formal for the event.

Film director Karan Johar said he enjoyed attending the celebration and found RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's thoughts insightful. "I really enjoyed attending today's RSS Centenary celebration. Listening to Bhagwat's ideas was inspiring. I sincerely thank him for giving Bollywood personalities so much time. He also has a great sense of humour, and we had a great time," Johar said.

Actress Shilpa Shetty congratulated the organisation on completing 100 years and expressed admiration for Bhagwat's dedication. "I am a big fan of Mohan Bhagwat. I greatly admire his resolve and commitment to working for the nation. I learned a lot today, and he strengthened my resolve further," she said.

Singer and composer Pritam Chakraborty described the programme as enlightening. "Today's programme covered many topics. There were several things I did not know earlier. I congratulate the organisation for highlighting so much that is happening around us," he said.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who attended the two-day event, said Bhagwat's address helped clarify the organisation's role. "Listening to Mohan Bhagwat was very enlightening. He explained what the RSS stands for. There are different perspectives about the RSS in the country, and Mohanji addressed them clearly. There was a discussion about patriotism, culture and our heritage. It was very informative," Bhandarkar said.

Actor Ravi Dubey also congratulated the RSS on completing a century. "Over these 100 years, the organisation has contributed to nation-building and to establishing India as a global leader," he said.

While addressing the gathering, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said, "College students copy Salman Khan ji's fashion. When asked why, they say they don't know; Salman is doing it. Aise logon ki samajh mein bahut izzat hoti hai."
