The Malayalam film industry is gearing up for yet another festive season in theatres. The industry is looking forward to four major releases -- Mammootty's "Acha Din", Dileep's "Love 24X7", Prithviraj's "Double Barrel" and Unni Mukundan's "KL 10 Pathu" -- during the ongoing month of Ramzan this year.
With these big releases lined up, Malayalam film lovers are assured of a lot of entertainment. Here are the details of these upcoming releases:
Directed by G Marthandan, "Acha Din" is touted to be a complete family entertainer. The film is said to have an interesting plot set in the backdrop of Ernakulam.
The film has a star cast of Mansi Sharma, Renji Panicker and Maniyanpilla Raju. The trailer hints that it is an interesting story of a family from Jharkhand settled in Kerala.
Marthandan and Mammootty had earlier joined hands for "Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus" in 2013. The action film was noted for its narrative style and Mammootty's looks and it received mixed reviews from the critics.
This upcoming movie is scripted by AC Vijeesh, who had previously scripted Mammootty's Lal Jose directorial "Immanuel".

The film directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery is probably one of the most awaited movies in the recent times. It is touted to be a comedy thriller.
"Double Barrel" boasts star cast of Prithviraj, Arya, Indrajith, Swati Reddy, Asif Ali, Isha Sharvani, Sunny Wayne, Vijay Babu, Manu, Chemban Vinod, Pearle Maaney, Sabu Abusamad and Rachana Narayanankutty.
The teaser of the movie has raised the expectations from the film as each actor seems to be in a completely new look. The cinematography is handled by Abhinandhan Ramanujan and the music of the film is composed by Prasanth Pillai.
KL 10 Pathu
The film, starring Unni Mukundan as the lead, is written and directed by debutant Muhsin Parari.
The story of "KL10 Pathu" is touted to be a comedy entertainer that revolves around Ahmed, a commoner who is a semi-urban but humorous man. The makers claim that Unni's character would be completely different from the roles he has played so far.
In the movie, the game of football also plays a major role and in some way or the other, all the lead characters are connected to the game. It has a star cast of Sreenath Bhasi, Shine Tom Chacko, Aneesh Menon, Soubin and Mamukkoya and the music of the movie is composed by Bijibal.
Dileep's upcoming movie "Love 24X7" is expected to be a big box office winner of the festive season. Written and directed by Sreebala K Menon, the movie is touted to be an in and out comedy romantic flick.
Sreebala is a well known Malayalam author who is also the winner of 2005 Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award. The debut filmmaker has previously assisted ace filmmaker Sathyan Anthikkad.
Her film with Dileep in the lead revolves around a news channel and he portrays the character of a television journalist. "Love 24X7" will have debutant Nikhila Vimal, Suhasini Maniratnam, Sreenivasan, Lena, Shankar Ramakrishnan and prominent media personality Shashi Kumar in key roles.
