Ram Gopal Varma is on cloud nine after his latest movie, "Killing Veerappan", opened to positive reviews and got good a opening at the box office.

The filmmaker, who saw a series of flops, has returned to good form with "Killing Veerappan". The Kannada version was released last week and reportedly made over Rs 12 crore in four days.

The Telugu version was released on Thursday, 7 January, and the Tollywood audience has also been impressed by the content. The filmmaker is celebrating the success with his team and has posted a few pictures in which he is seen having a great time with his crew.

In separate tweets, Ram Gopal Varma wrote: "The real reason I made a good film out of Killing Veerappan is because my crew threatened to kill me if I don't . All us crew of "killing veerappan" celebrating the highly successful death of Veerappan at the box office RIP. (sic)"

However, one could not help but notice the absence of Shivaraj Kumar from the celebration. The Kannada actor is not seen in promotions as well.

On the other end, Shivaraj Kumar's pose, in which he is seen holding a coffee mug, has become the talk of town. People have copied his style and are taking selfies with coffee mugs. This is giving a good publicity to the flick.

"Killing Veerappan" is a thriller directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The movie has been made simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada, and has also been dubbed in Hindi. Shivaraj Kumar plays the role of the cop who hatches a plan to kill the forest brigand.

Sandeep Bharadwaj plays the role of Veerappan. Parul Yadav and Yagna Shetty play key roles in the flick, which also has Sadh Orhan, Gadda Viji, Sanchari Vijay and others in the cast. Leading producer Rockline Venkatesh has done a cameo in the film.
