Power couple Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela have welcomed twins, a baby boy and a baby girl, on 31st January. Sharing the happy news with fans on Saturday past midnight, Ram Charan's father, veteran actor Chiranjeevi, announced the joyful occasion and his new role as a grandparent.
"With immense joy and a heart full of gratitude, we are happy to share that @AlwaysRamCharan and @upasanakonidela have been blessed with twins, a baby boy and a baby girl. Both the babies and the mother are healthy and doing well," Chiranjeevi wrote on X.
"Welcoming these little ones into our family is a moment of pure joy and divine blessing for us as grandparents. We sincerely thank everyone for their prayers, love, blessings, and good wishes, Chiranjeevi & Surekha," the star added.
On Sunday, a sea of fans gathered outside Apollo Hospital in excitement to wish the couple. Fans went berserk upon seeing Ram Charan arrive with his elder daughter, Klin Kaara. Several videos and photos from the scene have gone viral.
Among these, one video shows Ram holding his daughter close, wrapped in a red blanket to avoid fans taking photos and videos. Despite his precautions and the presence of security, Ram was mobbed by fans in Hyderabad. At one point, he appeared angry and was seen asking fans to move back, as his daughter seemed visibly uncomfortable.

This video shows why India badly needs civic sense laws.
In this video, when Ram Charan is stepping out with a baby, people are pushing each other and dragging Ram Charan for photos and attention. He was literally about to fall. The sadder part is that he had a baby… pic.twitter.com/9tzIUaRLlU
Another clip shows Klin's face briefly revealed by a fan in the crowd. In the video, Ram was trying to navigate through the crowd, and his daughter had not yet been fully covered. He quickly hid her face with his hands while protecting her, and Klin herself also kept her hand over her face to avoid being photographed.
As the video went viral, social media users criticised the fan pages for sharing it without consent, as Ram and Upasana have always sought to keep their children's privacy intact.

Many even shared that if the face of Ram Charan's daugther is revealed, strict action will be taken.
After arriving at the hospital, Ram announced the birth of the twins on social media in a joint post with Upasana. Sharing a photo of a pregnant Upasana, their two dogs were also visible in the frame.
