New Delhi, Dec 26 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday distributed compensation cheques to some 20 people who have been affected by the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Singh said that a committee has been formed to help relatives of 1984 riot victims and assured the people that Home Ministry will work on complaints and reports of committee. A hike in compensation to five lakh rupees was announced by Rajnath Singh in October, five months after BJP formed its government at the Centre.
