Onboard/ Jammu, Sept 06 (ANI): Amid the massive disaster created by floods and downpour in Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday took an aerial survey of flood affected areas in the state. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh accompanied Singh. In Jammu, the authorities closed four bridges connecting two parts of the city after they suffered damage as River Tawi flowed above the danger mark. Authorities had also declared a disaster alert after two days of heavy rain hit villages across the state, causing the worst flooding in two decades. Meanwhile, a flood-affected resident of Jammu said all the belongings in his house have been washed away by the flood water and they were asked by the authorities to evacuate the place.
