Salman Khan

Salman Khan, the host of the popular controversial reality show "Bigg Boss" has been blamed for his biased attitude toward some contestants on the show. Recently, the superstar was criticised on social media platforms, after he supported Ali Quli Murza, who misbehaved with women in the "Bigg Boss" house. Earlier, Salman also supported Renee Dhyani on her decision not to take part in the luxury budget task. Even during the previous seasons of the show, the "Dabaang" actor faced flak from his fans on social media for his biases.

Maria Sharapova

Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova was attacked by the fans of Sachin Tendulkar on social media when she said she didn't know the cricket God. The controversy began when a reporter asked Sharapova, "Do you know who Sachin is?" to which she replied, "I don't." Many even used foul language and threatened the tennis star, and #whoismariasharapova hashtag began trending on Facebook and Twitter.

Social media was once flooded with jokes about the Indian National Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi soon after his first interview with Arnab Goswami, which was aired on TimesNow. The politician stressed on women empowerment, changes in the current system to most of Arnab's questions and became the butt of jokes. The recent Gauahar Khan slapgate, which happened during the grand finale of singing reality show "India's Raw Star", sent shockwave across India. A 24-year-old man slapped the "Big Boss 7" winner for wearing a short skirt. Many of her colleagues and the film fraternity supported the actress, who was hurt and shocked after the incident. However, some others had a different take on the issue, and supported the accused saying that the actress deserved a slap.
