Rahul Gandhi is back home after spending about two months at a famous meditation retreat centre in Myanmar's Yangon city. He returned on Thursday morning via Bangkok in a Thai Airways flight, according to IBN Live sources. 

The Congress vice-president was welcomed at his official residence by his mother, AICC president Sonia Gandhi, and sister Priyanka Gandhi.

Rahul, who disappeared from the political scene just a day ahead of the parliamentary budget session saying he was on a 10-day sabbatical, returned home after 57 days. 

He is expected to address the 'kisan-mazdoor' (farmer-worker) rally in Delhi on Sunday, IANS reported. Rahul's return after almost two months of leave of absence has been mocked by several Twitter users:
