Coimbatore, July 29 (ANI): Radio controlled car racing, which is quite common across other Asian countries, is also gearing up popularity in Tamil Nadu. The first, popularly known as RC (radio controlled) national racing car event, was organized by Radio Controlled Car Association along with Kovai Modelers club at the racing club in Coimbatore. One of the winners of the Radio Control car race, Murali Kannadasan, said that these are unusual cars which runs on methanol and jump through different tracks. Radio car racing is very popular in China, Japan, Malaysia and Taiwan. Event organizer, Raj Kumar, said that the race is popular in many other countries except India, where there is a dearth of racing tracks.
