Rachitha Ram is no more part of Puneeth Rajkumar's film "Ranavikrama." The actress has dropped out of the film because of date clashes. Rachitha Ram had earlier missed her role in Yogaraj Bhatt's "Vaasthu Prakaara" to act in "Ranavikrama."

"Rachitha Ram will no longer be part of our project because of date issues. We are searching for a new heroine who can essay her role," said the producer of the film, Jayanna to Times of India.

Rachitha's decision of not being part of "Ranavikrama" has surprised everyone as she has only one film in her bag which is Mahesh Sukhadare directorial "Ambareesha."

The team of "Ranavikrama" is yet to decide on who will replace Rachitha but the announcement will come soon as the shooting is going in a fast pace at the historical location of Hampi.

The film had made news earlier when the fake pictures of Puneeth's look in the film circulated in the Internet. The photo showed Puneeth as a tantric sadhu whose face was covered in ash and ornamented in Rudhraksh. The team later announced that the pictures have nothing to do with the film.

"Ranavikrama" also has controversial heroine Anjali in it. She will be coming back to Kannada cinema with this film. Her last film was "Honganasu" in 2008 in which she co-stared with Prem. However, there are confusions about Anjali's role in the film as she is facing ban from The Tamil Nadu Film Producers Guild (TNPG). The association has also written letters to Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam film associations to cooperate with the ban until she finishes her project with director Kalanjiyam or after she compensate the loss caused by her for the producer. For those who doesn't know, Anjali had earlier walked out from the sets of Kalanjiyam's film "Ooru Suttri Puranam" accusing her aunt and the director for exploiting her.

"Ranavikrama" teaser was launched on 17 March 2014. Puneeth will be seen as a student and a cop in the film. The film is produced by Jayanna Bhogendra under the banner of Jayanna Combines. The cinematography is done by Vaidy S and the music is composed by V. Hariskrishna.
