Actress Raashi Khanna, who is eagerly waiting for the release of "Shivam", says that the film is a high voltage romance drama and her chemistry with Ram Pothineni is the main highlight of the movie.

Having made her acting debut with "Madras Café" in 2013, Raashi Khanna forayed into Tollywood with "Manam", which featured her in a cameo role. Her second Telugu film was "Oohalu Gusagusalade." Though she carefully selected some projects, her next two films "Joru" and "Jil" failed to impress viewers and turned average grossers at the box office.

Now, Raashi Khanna has pinned hopes on "Shivam". She is busy promoting the movie to make it a big success at the box office. She is playing an egoistical girl in the film, which marks the debut of Srinivasa Reddy as a director.

"That's totally different from who I actually am. I had a lot of fun playing this character because there was a Tom and Jerry element between Ram and me again, an experience that I have personally not had in real life. The film is a high voltage romance and therefore it is absolutely necessary that the chemistry works," Hyderabad Times quoted her as saying.

Ram was all praise for the actress' wonderful skills. "Raashi is a completely different person when she is not in character. In Shivam, her character requires her to be child-like while in reality she is far from that. It was very interesting to see how she brought to life this new persona for the film," the actor said.

"Shivam" is one of the big-ticket Telugu movies of 2015. The movie has being produced by Ravi Kishore under Sri Sravanthi Movies. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the soundtracks and the background score of the film, which is slated to be released in theatres around the world on 2 October.
