Superhero-inspired videogames for mobile users are the latest trend when it comes to promoting upcoming movies. As expected, a videogame version of Christopher Nolan's much-awaited movie "The Dark Knight Rises" has hit Android and iOS devices.

Famous mobile game developer Gameloft rolled out the video game on July 20, coinciding with the release of the movie. The game will be offered through Google's play store and Apple's iTune for ₹386.63 and ₹6.99 respectively.

Gameloft has launched several games in the past, inspired by famous superheroes and much-loved action flicks. It recently came out with the "Amazing Sider-Man" and "Men In Black 3" video games for Android and iPhone users.

In Gameloft's latest offering, players can become Batman and save Gotham City from its biggest threats.

The players get to confront their enemies and challenges, while fighting the baddies to save the city. The players also get to deal with hostage situations, bomb squads, jailbreaks and car chases to prove.

Mobile phones users can access Batman's complete arsenal, including his fancy futuristic bike. They also get to use the Grapnel to cross the city or to defeat foes, by throwing the Batarang to knock out enemies or to even hit a distant button.

Besides dealing with Batman rivals, gamers can meet all of Batman's allies and regain their strength to protect Gotham City from Bane.

The game also features the popular characters like Catwoman, Lucius Fox and Commissioner Gordon.

"The Dark Knight Rises", is one of the year's most-awaited releases, which will conclude the Batman trilogy.
