The makers of Vijay's "Puli" have finally released the trailer of the film on the internet and the same is going viral on the social media. They are also screening the video in theatres.

"Puli" is one of the most awaited South Indian movies of 2015 and Vijay's fans are desperately waiting to watch its trailer. The producers of the film have unleashed its trailer online at 12.00 am on 20 August. Actor Vijay, director Chimbu Deven and the bosses of Sony Music South had earlier confirmed the news on Twitter.

On 13 August, Vijay tweeted, "#PuliTrailer from Aug 20th!!"

Chimbu Deven, who recently joined Twitter, tweeted, "#PuliTrailer from 20th Aug 12AM @actorvijay @SrideviBKapoor @ThisIsDSP @natty_nataraj @ihansika @shrutihaasan."

The bosses of Sony Music South ‏tweeted on 18 August, "Your wait is getting shorter & shorter! Tomorrow at midnight, #Puli trailer will be out. RT & spread the excitement."

Following the trend created by the makers of "Baahubali - the Beginning", the producers of "Puli" have decided to screen its trailer in theatres and they have also got a 'U' certification for the 1.59-minute-long video from the Central Board of Film Certification.

"Thuppaki" distributors SVR Media Pvt Ltd, who have the rights of Telugu version of "Puli" have confirmed the news about the certification of the trailer of "Puli" on its official Twitter page. They also revealed that the trailer will be screened in 1,200 theatres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The bosses of SVR Media Pvt Ltd tweeted, "SVR Media P Ltd, who are the distributors for #Puli in Telugu is hitting the trailer in 1200 screens all over Andhra and Telangana :)."

Besides posting the photo of the certification, they wrote, "And here is our #PuliTrailer CC :) Duration 01 mins 55 secs :) @actorvijay @SrideviBKapoor @ihansika @shrutihaasan."

Written and directed by Chimbu Deven, "Puli" is a Tamil action-adventure-fantasy, which is also being dubbed and released in Telugu and Hindi. The movie has been creating positive buzz in the media ever since it was announced. Its first look posters have created a lot of curiosity among movie buffs. Its teaser has taken the viewers' expectations to the next level.
