The audio release of Vijay starrer "Puli" was held at a resort in Chennai on Sunday, 2 August. 

The audio launch function kick-started at 4.30 pm. The event was attended many celebs including KS Ravikumar, SJ Suryah, TR Rajender. Vijay, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani and Sridevi also graced the function. But Kiccha Sudeep failed to make it to the event due to some reasons.

The movie has five songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad for which Vairamuthu has written the lyrics. Vijay and Shruti Haasan have crooned a romantic song in the album and this remains the special track for the audience.

Highlights of the 'Puli' Audio Launch Function:
Vijay was the early bird to the event as he was at the venue at 4.30 pm to invite all the guests.

Vijay made roaring statements at "Puli" audio launch. He claimed that he can hate truly hate his enemy but does not know how to love falsely.

Ilayathalapathy said that his suffered a lot of embarrassments before he tasted his victory. He added that he learnt a lot from failures and the reason behind his success is a lot of insults.

He took on piracy and sarcastically commented at the present-day's trend of creating buzz by releasing teaser, first look and trailer.

Simbu's father TR Rajender impressed the crowd with the powerful speech. He said that Vijay is like Silambarasan's brother. His rhyming speech took the guests and crowd by storm.

All the guests sang praises of Vijay.
