Actress Priyanka Upendra celebrated her birthday on 12 November. The actress had a memorable birthday this time as she had a frolicking time with her friends and family members.

Last week, her husband and actor-director Upendra organised a party, which was attended by their close friends and relatives. Yesteryear actress Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, child artiste Snehith and many others were also spotted at the bash.

The coming year will be special for Priyanka as her maiden production "Uppi 2", a sequel of the psychological Kannada thriller "Upendra" will hit the screens. The movie will be simultaneously released in Telugu and features her husband in the lead.

More than her production, it is the woman-centric project "Mummy Save Me" that has kept her excited. Priyanka will be seen in a powerful role in the upcoming Lohith directorial. A painting of her with a girl was released on her birthday and the poster reminds of Vidya Balan's Bollywood hit movie "Kahaani".

However, "Mummy Save Me" is reportedly not a remake of "Kahaani". The photo shoot has been wrapped up recently and the movie was launched last week. The film's regular shooting will begin in December 2014.

The Kannada film is jointly produced by Narayana Murthy and Chikkanna. While Venu will handle the camera, A Lokesh will compose the music. Yuvina Parthavi, who was seen in an important role in "Abhimanyu", will be doing a key role in "Mummy Save Me."

Priyanka, who started her career in Bengali films, entered Sandalwood with late Vishnuvardhan's "Kotigobba" (2001). Since then, she has worked with many big names, including Shivaraj Kumar, Ravichandran among others. After marrying Upendra, she took a break from films, but was regularly appearing on small-screens as a judge for reality shows.

The Bengali actress was recently seen in a full-fledged role in Ravichandran's "Crazy Star".
