Priyanka's candid interview with Variety magazine
Meanwhile, speaking to Variety, she reflected on her professional journey. After winning the Miss World pageant in 2000, she quickly cemented herself as one of the most celebrated Indian actresses of her generation with movies such as Krrish 3, Bajirao Mastani, and Agneepath. But as the roles coming her way started to feel limiting, she moved to Los Angeles in 2013 in pursuit of a fresh start. "To restart your career in your 30s is terrifying. I was secure. I was doing well financially. I was established. And I chose to blow it up," she told Variety.

She said, "It took many years to be sitting where I am right now, a lot of pavement-pounding," she explains. "I am in a position now where I get to pick the things that I want to make. I understand the privilege of that very much, and I take it very seriously."
She has Amazon's big-budget spy thriller Citadel with Richard Madden, and now Frank E. Flowers' action drama The Bluff.
