Actress Priyamani got engaged to boyfriend Mustufa Raj on Friday, May 27. The couple took their relationship to the next level in the presence of their family members in Bengaluru.

The engagement was held at Priyamani's residence in Banashankari, Bengaluru. It was a private event, which was attended only by their relatives and close friends.

The buzz is that the couple will tie the knot by the end of this year. It is reported that they will be exchanging their wedding vows in a simple marriage ceremony and more details on their wedding plans are expected to be out soon.

In an interview with the Times of India earlier, Priyamani had said that she met Mustufa Raj a few years ago during the Indian Premiere League (IPL). Initially they were just good friends, but love soon blossomed between them.

Priyamani added that it is she who proposed him. "Initially, I sent him a text saying that I liked him, which, even today, he thinks was a joke. I professed my feelings for him when we met the next day, but he realized how serious I was only after a couple more months," she told the daily.

As per the actress, her beau is a straight forward person, who has a good sense of humour. The "Paruthi Veeran" actor claims that her family had no issues accepting him as her man even though he belongs to a different religion.

On the professional front, Priyamani has a few films in her kitty. Presently, she is working on Yogaraj Bhat's "Dana Kayonu," which stars Duniya Vijay in the lead role. She has paired up with Upendra in "Kalpana 2" and also signed Malayalam film "Silent Radio."
