Being a celebrity child, film industry was not a new domain for Prithviraj Sukumaran when he made his acting debut at the age of 19 in 2002.

Born to late superstar Sukumaran and actress Mallika Sukumaran, Prithviraj, who made his debut with Renjith's hit film "Nandhanam" opposite Navya Nair turns 33 on Friday, 16 October.

Apart from acting in Malayalam films, he has also made his mark in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi entertainment industries, and has proved his talent as a singer too.

Prithviraj, who is basking in the success of his latest film "Ennu Ninte Moideen", has become the young icon of the Malayalam entertainment industry through some of his classic performances. He was also awarded the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in "Vaasthavam", "Ayalum Njanum Thammil" and "Celluloid". He received the National Award and State Award for the Best Feature Film in Malayalam category for producing the 2011 film, "Indian Rupee".

Married to Supriya Menon in April 2011, the actor was blessed with a daughter, Alankrita Menon, in September 2014.

Meanwhile, as a treat to Prithviraj fans, his upcoming film "Amar Akbar Anthony", also starring his elder brother Indrajith Sukumaran and Jayasurya, is set to hit the screens on Friday. The film is the debut directorial venture of actor and mimicry artist Nadirshah.
