The release of the upcoming Malayalam movie, "James and Alice," starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Vedhika, which was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on April 29, has been postponed to May due to delay in the completion of its technical works.

Prithviraj revealed the news via his social media handle and announced that the Sujith Vaassudev directed project will be released on May 5. "James and Alice has been postponed to the 5th of May due to some unforeseen last minute delays in various technical departments. The wait will be worth it! [sic]," Prithviraj posted on his Facebook page.

The movie is the debut directorial venture of Vaassudev, who is a Kerala State Film Award winning cinematographer. It narrates the incidents that happen in James' (Prithviraj) life before and after his marriage. Prithviraj will be seen as an artist and Vedhika plays his wife Alice. The two get married in the film without the permission of their parents.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj has already become a trendsetter with his two different looks in the movie — as a young artist and also in a salt-and-pepper look. The trailer and the song of the movie have already raised the audience's expectations from the movie, which also has Sai Kumar, Nedumudi Venu, Manju Pillai and Sijoy Varghese in significant roles. Scripted by Dr S Janardhanan, "James and Alice" has been produced by Dr S Sajikumar and Krishnan Sethukumar under the banner of Dharmik Films.
