Kate Middleton and Prince William looked very joyous as their nine-week-old Princess Charlotte was christened in a private ceremony at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham on 5 July. But, some reports suggest that the Duchess of Cambridge snapped at Camilla Parker-Bowles prior to the ceremony.

Princess Charlotte made her second official public appearance on 5 July, after her birth on 2 May. And just like her brother George, the fourth in line to the throne was dressed in a lace and satin christening gown, made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter in 1841.

The 16-century church where the ceremony was held is close to William and Kate's country house Anmer Hall. This is also where Charlotte's late grandmother, Princess Diana was christened in 1961.

The ceremony as speculated earlier was a private one with only close royal family members and the new-born's five godparents in attendance.

The family members included the 89-year-old Queen and her husband Prince Philip, along with Prince Charles, William, George and Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.

The five godparents present at the ceremony were William's cousin Laura Fellowes, Kate's cousin Adam Middleton, Kate's friend Sophie Carter and two of William's friends James Meade and Thomas van Straubenzee.

Meanwhile, some reports have suggested that the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Cornwall – Camilla Parker-Bowles -- had an argument prior to the christening.

Apparently, Kate was upset with Camilla for talking about how the two royal babies were being raised like commoners. And the Duchess had an argument with Camilla with regards to the same.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, a source has told Globe Magazine that Kate even shouted at the Duchess of Cornwall saying: "How dare you insult me and my babies with your horrible lies?"

Kate reportedly lost her temper when Prince Charles' second wife questioned Kate's way of upbringing. "She told Kate she was making a big mistake following Diana's approach to parenting, saying those methods did nothing for Prince Harry who is still a wild child," the source said.

If these rumours are true, then it looks like Kate Middleton is a very protective mother to Princess Charlotte and Prince George.
