Britains Prince Harry attended Walking With The Woundeds Walk of Britain launch event in London on 18 March.
There he met and spoke to veterans and injured service personnel who will take part in a planned 1,000 mile walk across Britain later this year.
A team of five will embark on this latest expedition over a course of 10 weeks. It includes members of the Royal Marines and 3 Rifles.
Veterans, cadets and members of the Military Wives choir as well as local groups will show their support by joining the team for parts of their journey.
Harry, who is a patron of the Walking With The Wounded charity, has supported its endeavours since its launch in 2010. He also took part in previous expeditions, joining teams in 2011 to the North Pole and on a 200-mile track adventure to the South Pole in 2013.
The prince, whose Endeavour Fund is among the sponsors funding Walk of Britain, will once again join this latest expedition for a short part.
Hoping that this latest expedition will bring the charitys cause closer to home than ever before, Harry urged the public and the media to go out and meet and hear the stories from those taking part in the 10-week-long trek.
Walk of Britain will give everyone the opportunity to meet these remarkable men and women. People up and down the country will get to see first hand the determination and resolve of those who have served and in particular those who have been injured or suffer from hidden wounds, Harry said.
Im delighted to say that I will be joining the team for a small part of their journey and I am hugely looking forward to this, he added.
Walk of Britain gets underway on 22 August in Scotland and will finish on 31 October in London.
