Season 5 finale of ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" finally revealed Charles as Big A, but we are yet to discern the hooded figure's identity and the revelation has also raised a lot of questions.

Questions on Charles' connection to Andrew, on why Mona's death was faked, and if the Liars will all escape A's clutches will all be answered when the series returns for yet another season in June. According to executive producer Marlene King, Mona has a specific plan, but what she doesn't realise is that she might be up against smarter forces.

In addition to Mona, Spencer and Andrew are equally smart, and the Big A might be smarter than all three of them, making him a dangerous villain. And going into the next season it's important to note what roles these three will play.

"Mona basically had a very specific plan where she could outsmart A, unearth the identity and then expose it to the girls and return to Rosewood as a hero," King told The Hollywood Reporter.

"That was her plan, but guess what? Mona is dealing with someone as smart, if not smarter, than her. I think it's important that you keep in mind that there are three brainiacs in Rosewood: Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Mona and Andrew Campbell (Brandon Jones), and that's a very important thing to keep in mind."

Executive producer Oliver Goldstick mentioned the trio in another interview with TVLine saying, "We've taken three characters from the books who were the brainiacs — Spencer, Mona and Andrew — and we've made a really interesting, surprising trinity. They're all bright and resourceful."

The upcoming season will see the Liars being punished for trying to escape, and although Mona as Alison is a Charles' favourite, she wouldn't escape punishment.

"The liars are going to be punished by Charles for trying to escape ... and once they do finally escape, it leaves serious emotional scars on us all," Janel Parrish, who plays Mona, revealed to TooFab.
