If Marlene King keeps her word, fans will correctly identify the elusive A in the season 5 finale of ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars."

And with just a few more days to go before the big A reveal, guesses and theories on who the hooded figure could be has taken social media by storm.

Most of the lead actors have confirmed that the identity of the villain has been divulged to them. But one person who is still in the dark is "Pretty Little Liars" author Sara Shepard.

Shepard, who enacted the role of a court reporter in Tuesday's episode, revealed to People magazine that she still has no idea who A is. But she has her guess based on the clues that the show has littered throughout the five seasons.

"No! I still don't know, I still have no idea," she told the publication. "I have guesses, but they're not because anybody has told me anything, they're just, I feel like we've gotten some more clues, but no, I don't have any idea, and I like not knowing, it's fun to kind of be surprised."

Like fans, she too has her doubts on Andrew, Lucas and Ezra, but the author believes Agent Tanner is also sketchy, and possibly, working for A.

"I also have – and I've told people this and they're like, "What?" – I also think Agent Tanner (Roma Maffia) is really suspicious, and I feel like there's something going on with her. I don't know if it's being part of A, I don't know, I think that would a little strange, but I think there's some sketchiness going on with her," she said.

Shepard also touched upon the twin theory, saying it would give an interesting twist to the drama. Saying it was highly unlikely that A in the series could be Alison's twin, Shepard hinted that the villain could be related to the DiLaurentis.

"I don't think it's an Alison twin, but it's got to be a secret DiLaurentis of some sort. Mrs. DiLaurentis (Andrea Parker) buried her daughter to cover up something else, and who would you do that for? You would have to do that for a secret sibling of some sort," Shepard said.
