Shana's unveiling as A does not mean the Liars – Aria, Hanna, Spencer, Emily and Alison – have put their troubles behind him. Instead, their past will continue to haunt them as they struggle to adjust with Alison's return and the repercussions of Shana's death.

The official synopsis of episode two of "Pretty Little Liars," entitled "Whirly Girlie," hints that all the five girls will be living under a cloud of secrets. Aria, who tasted her first kill when she hit Shana with the bottom of a gun in the last episode, will be traumatised by the past events.

"It affects her tremendously," executive producer of the show Marlene King told TVLine."One of the questions the girls have always asked is 'Why did Ali pick us? Why were we the team she put together to be her friends?' And those answers will come. One of the reasons she picked Aria is because she's so compassionate, and now that — as you say — she's tasted her first kill, it will affect her dramatically. And traumatically."

Alison, too, will have a tough time adjusting to normal life. Alison's mistrust of her family members makes matters worse.

A sneak peek of the upcoming episode shows Jason and Alison talking, and their conversation is rather cold.

The promo shows Jason looking unhappy when Alison steps out of their house.

"What are you doing? Ali, you can't be out here. There is about 10 cars at the end of our street, alright? Press. Police." Ali responds that she is not "twerking through town," and her answer is followed by an awkward silence.

Alison is suspicious as to why her brother hasn't bombarded her with questions, and things get interesting when asks about their mother's reaction after she found that her daughter was still alive.

"She was stunned," Jason lies. "What'd you expect?"

Mrs. DiLaurentis was dead by the time Alison was revealed to be alive, and it is not immediately known why he is lying. It remains to be seen if Jason has an ulterior motive for not telling the truth.

Interestingly, Twitterverse is still not ready to believe Shana was the Liars' hooded enemy, and a majority of fans still believe that it might be Jason.

The official synopsis of the episode reads: "With the events of New York behind them and back in Rosewood, the Liars are unsettled to still be living under a cloud of secrets. Aria is haunted by the recent past events, while Emily, Hanna and Spencer try to wrap their head around the new normal. Alison, on the other hand, is still sleeping with one eye open as she is forced to stay at home with her family – who she doesn't trust.

"Meanwhile, Jason's odd behavior and Kenneth DiLaurentis' search for Jessica starts to raise eyebrows about her disappearance."

Episode 2 of "Pretty Little Liars" will air on ABC Family on June 17 at 8 p.m. EDT.
