New Delhi, Sep 28 (ANI): President's rule has been imposed in Maharashtra on Sunday; three days after former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan submitted his resignation as his government lost the majority following NCP's official withdrawal from the alliance. Maharashtra has gone under President's Rule fifteen days before the state will go for its next assembly election scheduled to be held in the state on October 15. On Saturday, Home Minister Rajnath Singh had chaired the emergency cabinet meeting which approved the imposition of the President's Rule in Maharashtra.
