After getting past Premier League giants Arsenal in quite a thrilling fashion on the opening day of the EPL 2016-17 season, Liverpool will be keen on yet another impressive display against the Gunners' North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Jurgen Klopp's men take on the Spurs at the White Hart Lane on Saturday.

The opening week of the Premier League this season started out on a good note for the Reds but on the second matchweek itself, they suffered a shock 0-2 loss against Burnley and that remained a historical moment for the Lancashire club.

Liverpool are currently 11th in the league table, as compared to the seventh spot held in the table by Tottenham Hotspur. Mauricio Pochettino's side started their season with a 1-1 draw against Everton and then went on to defeat Crystal Palace with a 1-0 margin in the following week.

For Tottenham, midfielder Moussa Dembele remains suspended for the game on Saturday, while star goalkeeper Hugo Lloris remains on the sidelines owing to a hamstring injury. Apart from that, Pochettino has a more or less fit squad to deploy against Liverpool.

As for the Reds, there are doubts over the fitness of Emre Can (ankle), star forward Philippe Coutinho (hamstring) and Divock Origi (match fitness). Highly-rated midfielder Sadio Mane is available to play, however.

Pochettino knows that the challenge from the Reds will not come easy and therefore, he remains a bit wary. "They [Liverpool] are quick, they have good organisation, they love to counter-attack. It's different to us. We like to manage the ball, play in possession, play in the opposition's half - we are a different team with a different philosophy," said the Argentine football coach.

"It'll be tough - they come from a difficult loss against Burnley and they'll want to give their best."

Premier League 2016-17: Tottenham vs Liverpool is scheduled to kick-off at 12:30 p.m. BST (5 p.m. IST, 7:30 a.m. EST) on Aug. 27.
