Director Alphonse Puthren, who rose to fame with the Nivin Pauly-starrer movies Neram and Premam, has become a father after his wife Aleena Antony gave birth to a baby boy on October 5.
An overwhelmed Alphonse announced the news of him becoming a father through his Facebook page on Wednesday. "Njan achanaayi ende bharya amma aayi. makan aanu (I became a father and my wife is a mother. Its a boy) Today afternoon he was born . I don't how to write down the happiness ... But hope you understood [sic]," he wrote on his social media account.
Now, the Facebook page of the director has been flooded with congratulatory messages from film fraternity and his followers. Celebrities, including Aju Varghese, Jude Anthony Joseph, Shabareesh Varma, Rajisha Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Sharafudheen and Joju George, among others have wished Alphonse for welcoming a 'puthran' (son) to the family.
Earlier in August, on their first wedding anniversary, Alphonse had announced that the couple is expecting a baby after a miscarriage. "Its a small journey of an organism called man. Thanks to nature for supplying everything that is needed for me n my wife n and our families and friends and i thank all human beings who have worked hard to support mankind. thank god [sic]," he had then posted on social media.
Aleena, daughter of film producer Alwin Antony got married to Alphonse in August 2015 in a star-studded wedding ceremony.
