Pregnant Sonam Kapoor flaunts baby bump deliberately; fans start meme fest, call her fashion choices cringe

Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor is all set to embrace motherhood and is expecting her second child. Lately, Sonam has been attending events in the city, as she is back in the bay. Sonam is not only known for her acting skills but is also touted as a fashionista, often styled by her sister Rhea. Sonam Kapoor has been serving major maternity goals.

On Monday, the actor was spotted shopping at a baby care showroom, seemingly for her soon-to-be-born baby.

The actor posed for the paps and also patiently gave selfies to fans. However, it was her outfit that caught attention.

Sonam wore a custom ensemble by Dhruv Kapoor, styled by sister Rhea Kapoor, along with celebrity stylist Sanya Kapoor. She wore a white cotton shirt featuring a sharp collar, padded shoulders, and full sleeves.

She partially unbuttoned her shirt, which gently highlighted Sonam's growing baby bump. She paired it with a maxi skirt designed with a low-rise waist and a softly voluminous, balloon-like silhouette.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Sonam also interacted with the paparazzi outside a store she visited in the city. As she posed for pictures, a paparazzo asked her, "Health kaisi hai aapki (How's your health)?" Smiling at him, the actor replied, "Sab theek hai (Everything is fine)."

Netizens weren't impressed with her fashion choices as she deliberately flaunted her belly. Many even mocked her and started a meme fest, drawing comparisons with a comic star lifting his shirt and flaunting his belly.

Sonam, who married entrepreneur Anand Ahuja in 2018, is already a mom to son Vayu, born in 2022.

Kapoor was last seen in the film Blind in 2023. Sonam Kapoor, the daughter of Bollywood star Anil Kapoor, began her career as an assistant director on filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2005 film Black. She made her acting debut in Bhansali's romantic drama Saawariya in 2007.

The movie also starred Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Rani Mukerji, and marked the debut of Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor.

She was later seen in I Hate Luv Storys, Raanjhanaa, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Sanju, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Neerja, and Veere Di Wedding.

Sonam Kapoor was also lined up to headline the film adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's novel Battle for Bittora, produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor. However, the project, envisioned as a blend of romance and politics, has remained stalled for years.
