The movie has Jack Black and Cate Blanchett as the leads, directed by Eli Roth. The movie is based on a 1983 novel with the same name by John Bellairs. A ten-year-old boy goes to live with his uncle in an old creaky house with a ticking heart hidden somewhere in the walls of the house that could bring about a doomsday.
4) A Simple Favor - September 14
The film is a thriller mystery that stars Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively, Henry Golding and Andrew Rannells. The film is directed by Paul Feig based on a novel with the same name by Darcey Bell. In the film the protagonist, a small-time blogger goes in search of her rich friend who went missing.
5) The Nun - September 6
A chilling horror film based on a priest with a haunted past and a nun on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun who killed herself in Romania.
