Pratyusha Banerjee's boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, who has been accused of abetting to suicide of the television actress, can heave a sigh of relief, though temporarily. The Bombay High Court on Monday, April 18, has adjourned his anticipatory bail plea till April 25.

However, Rahul will have to appear before the Bangur Nagar Police station, Mumbai, on April 23, ANI reported.

On April 7, the Dindoshi Sessions Court in Mumbai rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Rahul, after a case was registered by Pratyusha's mother against him for abetment to suicide of the "Balika Vadhu" actress. The case was registered under IPC Sections 306 (abetment of suicide), 504, 506 (criminal intimidation) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) at the Bangurnagar Police Station.

Soon after, Rahul filed a plea in the Bombay High Court and on April 12, the court restrained the police from arresting him until April 18.

Meanwhile, Rahul's father has written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, alleging that Rahul has been traumatised ever since Pratyusha commited suicide and that some people are trying to damage his family's reputation without knowing the actual facts, the Times of India reported.

Also, Rahul, who was admitted to the hospital after he complained of chest pain and was said to be suffering from depression, was discharged from Kandivali-based Shri Sai Hospital on Saturday, April 16.

Pratyusha was reportedly found hanging from a ceiling fan at her apartment in suburban Goregaon on April 1. Although it has been revealed in the post-mortem report that it was a "clear case of suicide," many TV celebrities close to Pratyusha claim the actress took her life due to the troubles she was facing with Rahul.
