Kozhikode collector Prasanth Nair, who is popular among the youth as "collector bro", is in the news almost everyday for his novel initiatives in the district, like Compassionate Kozhikode, Operation Sulaimani and Savarigiri. Now, the civil servant has confirmed to IBTimes India that he is scripting an upcoming Malayalam movie.

Prasanth and his wife Lakshmi are jointly scripting Malayalam director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon's upcoming satirical comedy film, which will be a character-oriented project. Once the scripting is completed, the movie is expected to go on the floors in Kozhikode.

It is understood that Anil and Prasanth discussed about the upcoming project in their recent get-together. With Fahadh Faasil, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kunchacko Boban starring in Anil's previous projects, the upcoming movie is also expected to have one of the popular young stars.

Anil began his career as a director in 2013 with Fahadh's "North 24 Kaatham", for which he won the National Film Award for best feature film in Malayalam and Kerala State Film Award for second best film. He has also directed the multi-starrers "Sapthamashree Thaskaraha" (2014) and "Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi" (2015), all of which got good response from the audience.

Meanwhile, Prasanth, who handles the Facebook page Collector, Kozhikode, has a huge fan following, with more than 1.6 lakh Facebook users on it.
