Many Indians are furious after Internet Service Providers blocked 857 'porn' websites on the order of the government, which claims that they violate 'morality and decency'.

The copy of the leaked order by the Department of Telecommunication is now being circulated online, and the list of sites include those which do not even share porn, such as CollegeHumor.com and 9GAG.tv.

CollegeHumour.com is a US-based comedy website, while 9GAG.tv is an online platform that supports user-generated content, usually funny videos and memes.

Another non-pornography website that is on the 'porn ban' list is Barstool Sports, which is a blog on sports.

Popular porn sites such as Pornhub and RedTube have also been blocked.

The DoT order dated 31 July reads: "By order no. 813-7/25/2011-DS (Vol.-V), the department of Electronics and Information Technology has asked the Department of Telecom to notify internet service providers to block access to 857 URLs, under the provision of Section 79(3)(b) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 as the content hosted on these websites relate to morality, decency as given in Article 19(2) of the Constitution of India".

Here is the complete list of 857 sites blocked by the government for 'pornography'.
