Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

The demo version of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has left many players disappointed after they reported of issues in the special demo code for the game. The Pokemon Company, publisher has however assured players that it is investigating the issue.

The Pokemon Company advised, "Users should now be able to view their code simply by reopening the original newsletter email. If this doesn't work immediately, users can click the 'Having trouble viewing this email? View this email online,' at the top right of the newsletter image."

Players unable to view it are asked to "reopen a service ticket." It also explained that the issue could because of "the large volume of newsletters sent, there could be some delays as they make their way through the various internet providers and networks, leading to some users receiving their newsletters before other users."

It asked players to check their junk email folders and recheck if the 'pokemon@email.pokemon.com' was added to the safe senders list.

An update said the issue of code images not appearing on the newsletter has been resolved. "We believe that the issue with code images not appearing in the October Pokémon newsletter have been resolved," the company said.

Many players complained of broken or missing demo codes in the Pokemon newsletter. The demo launched on 21 October 2014.

How to Get Demo Alternately?

Nintendo had shared alternate ways for player to try out the demo version of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire:

  • Codes will be distributed at select cinema locations nationwide from 7-13 November (while supplies last).
  • Check with your local retailer during the holidays to find out about special demo code giveaways (while supplies last).
  • Get a code with your purchase of the new Pokemon Art Academy game (out 24 October) when you buy from Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo 3DS or 2DS system.
  • You'll also get a code with your purchase of one of two classic Pokémon games coming to the Virtual Console service on Nintendo eShop: the Pokémon Puzzle Challenge game (out 6 November) or the Pokémon Trading Card Game (out 13 November). You'll find your free demo code on your eShop receipt (download codes available while supplies last).
  • Codes will be emailed the week of Oct. 31 to select Nintendo customers with Nintendo Network IDs who have signed up to receive promotional emails from Nintendo.
  • Codes will also be distributed during the holiday mall tour from 24 November ‒ 21 December at 16 different locations throughout the nation. Talk to a staff member to try out Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire or any of the featured Nintendo 3DS games to receive two codes—one for you, and one for a friend (while supplies last). The Pokemon and data from the demo can be transferred to the main game when it launches on 21 November 2014 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.

Mega Steelix and Mega Glalie Revealed

The Pokemon Company and Nintendo, have released details of the two new Mega Evolved Pokemon - Mega Steelix and Mega Glalie that will be available in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Mega Steelix is a Steel/Ground type Pokemon that Mega Evolved from Steelix. It is known to have slow pace and will have a new move, Iron Tail, which can slam a target hard with the tail. Its ability is Sand Force.

Mega Glalie is an ice-type Pokemon that Mega Evolved from Snorunt. It has the ability to Refrigerate where it releases freezing air from its mouth. It can deliver a knockout attack - Sheer Cold.

Pokemon ORAS Rumours [SPOILERS]

An anonymous contract employee of Nintendo has reportedly leaked that Mega Flygon, Jirachi, Solrock, and Lunatone had been 'programmed' in the game and these will be revealed in the coming weeks, iDigital Times reported.

Pokemons like Milotic, Butterfree, Zangoose, Seviper and Raticate are in the list of possible Mega Evolution, but the company is not yet decided. The leaker has also revealed that there has been no discussion on Dragonite, Bisharp and Arcanine.

It was also revealed by the leaker that Johto starters will not be returning. ORAS is expected to have more post-game content and Trick House.
