New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, urged security forces in the country to remain alert as there was a likelihood of attempts to disrupt the upcoming 2014 national elections. Addressing an annual conference of Director Generals of Police (DGPs) on Saturday, Singh said that security forces have to be careful in their response to militant attacks. Meanwhile, commenting on the peace situation in Kashmir that have recently witnessed an increase in infiltration attempts, Singh called for coordinated efforts to counter such efforts. Referring to the brutal rape and murder of a young girl in New Delhi that sent shockwaves across the nation, Singh stressed on the need to sensitively deal with the issue of women rights.
